How can AI help Ava improve client services or internal operations?
Ava today
KPMG Ava, our secure, internal Gen AI chat tool, should be your first port of call for AI in KPMG. Ava can help you to extract data, generate ideas and support with analysis. Our Ava team is continually upgrading Ava’s functionality and are excited about the fresh ideas you can provide to inform future development.
The task
In teams, you’ll generate ideas for improvements to Ava, addressing specific challenges that colleagues face or enhancing Ava’s capabilities. As part of the challenge, you’ll deep dive into the core elements of AI with the AI Jumpstart module. You’ll then apply your learning, in teams, to come up with enhancements to Ava's capabilities to enhance its functionalities to better our client services or internal operations. All ideas must be submitted using this form(opens new window) by Friday 23rd February.

What will I learn?
Introducing AI Jumpstart

Module 1: AI Fundamentals
- The Principles of AI: Gain a comprehensive understanding of AI, including its definition, fundamental principles (Machine Learning), and limitations.
- AI Platforms and Tools - Analyse AI tools and platforms to identify which tools are best suited for different applications
- The Foundations of Prompt Engineering - Develop and optimise prompts to efficiently use language models (LLMs).
Module 2: Problem Solving with GenAI
- AI Ethics - Evaluate the ethics and responsibilities associated with AI, including legal considerations.
- AI Adaptive Problem Solving - Develop adaptive learning and problem-solving skills in AI.
- AI Applications In Industry: Explore the applications of AI across various industries and identify innovation potential by applying the principles of AI Innovation within your industry sector.
Module 3: Using AI to Solve Business Problems
- Communicating AI Business Solutions - Propose an AI solution to stakeholders, including effective communication and presentation skills.
- Communicating AI concepts - Translate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

How do I enter?
Step 1 - Enrol in the challenge
Sign up for the Ava Challenge(opens new window) and gain access to AI Jumpstart. You can either sign up with a pre-existing team of 3 – 4 colleagues or be asked to be randomly added to a group of colleagues that have signed up to take part.
Step 2 - Innovate with your team
Rally your teammates and foster an environment where creativity and expertise thrive. This is your chance to showcase creativity, problem-solving prowess, and the ability to revolutionise Ava's capabilities.
Step 3 - Submit an entry
All ideas must be submitted using this form(opens new window) by Friday 23rd February. A set of top ideas will then be progressed with a chance for the winning team to receive a prize.
