Take a skills-first approach to hiring with Multiverse

Expedia logo

Expedia Group is building a skilled and diverse workforce by forging career pathways for high potential tech talent in the US and the UK through Professional Apprenticeships. These programs support EG's long-term talent pipeline by tapping into talent from diverse backgrounds and providing a holistic, on-the-job training experience.

Expedia Group has partnered with Multiverse since 2018 to provide a skills-first apprenticeship initiative across the organization. Since then multiple cohorts of apprentices have gone through these programs, which are designed to give your teams the talent and skills needed to drive the business forward.

We would love for you to be a part of this Emerging Talent and Careers Initiative.

We've built this page to provide information on the two Multiverse programs available: Advanced Analytics & Software Engineering.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Advanced Analytics (12 months)

The Advanced Analytics program jump-starts analytical careers by providing apprentices with the technical and business skills needed to solve business problems with data. To help prepare businesses for tomorrow, you will learn to manage data quality, automate processes, and code flexible, predictive models. All the while, building the confidence in machine learning and big data concepts essential for the future of analytics.

Alignment with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals

The program supported Clover’s wider DEI goals by bringing engineering apprentices on board from different backgrounds and career paths.

Real impact through on-the-job training

Apprentices took what they learned in the bootcamp and applied their skills on-the-job to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve customer tickets.

A strong pipeline of engineering talent

The training program helped Clover expand its engineering capacity and train software engineers for their entry-level engineering roles.

Partnership highlights

  • Software engineering apprentices participated in a 3-month bootcamp where they learned programming and coding skills specific to Clover’s tech stack
  • Apprentices then joined Clover’s engineering teams and applied their technical skills to support customers and merchants
  • A dedicated coach was assigned to each apprentice to ensure skills were applied and mastered
