The MFT Data & AI Academy will reward employees with fully-funded professional qualifications, providing our staff with essential data & AI skills to excel at your roles, regardless of level of ability - focusing on building confidence to allow you to apply these skills practically in your role, as you learn.
Sponsored by David Walliker and John Schofield , the initiative has been set up to give all staff the digital skills of the future to support career progression, drive efficiencies, identify improvements and ultimately allow us to deliver enhanced care and service - aligned to the One MFT Digital Strategy.

Execute on data-driven initiatives to unlock the power of data storytelling and make data-informed decisions in your role at MFT NHS.
- This basic data literacy course is fundamental for those that lack the confidence to manipulate or interrogate a data set (report, customer insight / data, excel sheet, dashboard.)
- This programme will minimise the requirement to rely on central data functions and align a narrative to a data set, underpinned by fact, this programme will teach you the storytelling skills you need.
AI for Business Value
This programme is for team members looking to lead AI projects and initiatives within their team, blazing the trail for AI adoption at MFT NHS.
- This programme is for leaders or team members who are looking to find innovative solutions to processes that are inefficient, arduous or manual.
- You’ll be in a position to understand the challenge, design a solution, ideally implement an AI solution (although not essential), and then evaluate the success or impact of that solution, and its wider impact if rolled out across the business.
Business Transformation Fellowship
This programme is specifically for those at MFT NHS who are looking to deliver strategic initiatives with an agile mindset and drive change in an evolving digital workplace.
