Digital Business Accelerator

Build a foundation of critical business skills, from project management to data analysis, to drive meaningful impact in an evolving digital landscape.

Overview

Over 13 months, apprentices uncover the inner workings of successful companies, from understanding the business fundamentals to navigating data in organisations, project management and personal development.

Every month, apprentices dive into a workshop. These sessions allow everybody to come together to learn, collaborate, and grow their confidence and networks. In between workshops, apprentices apply and refine their new skills while making an impact at work, with regular opportunities to reflect with their industry-expert coach.

As apprentices progress, they build up a personal portfolio before testing everything they’ve learned with a real-world project.

The modules

Module 1

Personal Power

Our first workshop is all about apprentices understanding their personal power where they will begin to drive their own development.

The module will explore how they can face their own fears to better understand them. They will develop tools to own their own development. Finally, they will consider how to forge their own career path and journey.

Module 2

Business Fundamentals

Through this module, apprentices will understand the context in which the apprentices' organisation operates. They will consider the importance of their organisation's vision and values.

The module will also explore the importance of data in their organisation. They will also consider how their role and work contribute to this data framework.

Module 3

Data in Business

Apprentices will explore how to be proactive to better understand the problems they are being asked to solve, and what questions they need to ask to set themselves up for success.

The module will equip apprentices with the tools and techniques apprentices will need to be confident in using data in their day-to-day work. They will learn how to extract, clean, format and prepare data and apply these skills to the tasks their team needs them to do.

Module 4

Data Proficiency

The module will explore how apprentices can make sense of the data they work with. Apprentices will also learn how to create visualisations from a raw data set and extract insights that can be shared with their team.

Module 5

Communicating Effectively

The module looks at how to build a narrative and be an impactful presenter. Apprentices will consider what effective communication looks like within their team and organisation.

Apprentices will consider the best modes of communication in different contexts and how to ensure key messages land. Apprentices will consider communication in the context of data and how they can communicate their data findings to different stakeholders.
