Celebrating Pride Month at Multiverse

Our mission at Multiverse is to create a diverse group of future leaders. As such, Pride is a hugely important moment for our employees, apprentices and alumni. This year, we delivered a global program of activities to bring together a powerful, inspirational and fitting tribute to our LGBTQ+ community.

For our employees

At Multiverse, we’re proud to have a thriving LGBTQ+ community, comprising 14% of our employees, globally. This year, we celebrated in style with a number of Pride events across the UK and US.

We were thrilled to take part in the London Pride Parade on Saturday 2nd July. This year commemorated 50 years since the first Pride parade took place in the UK. Participation in the parade is an expression of joy and a powerful way to raise awareness of the challenges the LGBTQ+ community still face, and campaign for change. This year's parade called for a number of changes including an end to conversion therapy in the UK and improved protections against hate crime. Read more here(opens new window).

We also hosted a Big Pride Quiz in our London office. This was a great opportunity for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to get together and learn about queer history - and name that LGBTQ+ anthem! While in the US, we hosted a Drag Bingo event in our New York office as a way to come together with colleagues and teammates to celebrate Pride in a fun, interactive event. We had dance numbers, comedy, and of course, BINGO. Both events were hybrid, with colleagues joining in the fun in person or via Zoom.

For Multiverse apprentices

One of the most unique things about a Multiverse Apprenticeship is our Community offering. We have over 8,000 apprentices and alumni in our growing Community, and we’re proud to have a number of networks within the Community to create safe spaces for apprentices to come together, ask questions, and receive support.

PRISM is our LGBTQ+ Community Network, with over 100 members who actively contribute to the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) conversation. This year, PRISM “hosted” Pride for our Community and produced a range of events and content with the aim of creating a shared sense of belonging and identity within the network. This included:

While Pride Month is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and continue to champion change, DEI is at the heart of our mission and values at Multiverse and we’re committed to LGBTQ+ inclusion all year round. Our mission is to create a diverse group of future leaders, and we’re committed to creating the change we want to see in the world, inside Multiverse too.
