The modules
Module 1
Analytics for business impact (bootcamp)
The bootcamp is a week-long intensive program that will kick-start apprentices’ journey to become data-driven professionals. Apprentices will learn data analytics and visualization skills, as well as strategic thinking skills required to drive impactful innovations using data. On the final day, apprentices will participate in a hackathon in which they will apply the skills they learned in a real-world scenario.
Module 2
Measuring & improving impact
Apprentices will reconvene to evaluate their progress to become data-driven professionals by learning and applying an impact quantification framework. Apprentices will also learn how to select metrics to track and how to improve their analytics work.
Module 3
Automation: Streamlining manual processes
Apprentices will streamline and automate manual processes in their current jobs and/or impactful data analysis works that they performed in previous modules using Flow diagrams, Macros, and a BI workbook, improving efficiency and precision of their work.
Module 4
Data Visualization: Building dashboards
Apprentices will learn to visualize data analysis results in the form of advanced dashboards built using a BI tool (Tableau or Power BI) to convert reports into insights and facilitate team’s decision-making.
Module 5
Data-driven storytelling and decision making
Apprentices will practice drawing sound insights from dashboards by learning how to avoid common decision-making pitfalls and gaging the accuracy and impact of their conclusions. They will learn to shape strategic business decisions by creating compelling narratives for senior leaders and colleagues and create a culture of decision-making based on unbiased and objective analysis.
